How Dex Works

When creating Dex, we wanted to make a compact wand that stood out from the rest. In a world of Temu's and Shein's, that can be difficult, but we let our design, quality materials, and Dex's clever engineering speak for itself.

What makes Dex special?

Like proud parents, we think all of our toys are special — but what sets Dex apart from the bunch is its non-vibrating handle. You may notice that while using other toys, the vibrations from the motor can transfer to your grip, which can cause discomfort or even numbness. Dex, on the other hand, contains multiple clever engineering choices that work together to greatly reduce those vibrations and make them nearly undetectable.

How is the non-vibrating handle possible?

Without giving away too much — after all, a good magician never reveals their secrets — there are two main factors that make a non-vibrating handle possible. The first being more simple than you’d think: the handle is really, really thick. More specifically, the outer shell of the enclosure that houses all of the vibrator’s technology is really, really thick. This extra thick layer helps to absorb the energy from the motor and reduces the vibrations from transferring to your hand.

The second trick to a non-vibrating handle isn’t in the handle at at — it’s actually closer to the head. In between the motor and the counterweight are a set of springs that help to do a few things: connect the head and the handle, give Dex’s head its flexibility, and, of course, reduce vibrations from travelling to the handle. When Dex’s motor runs, it sends energy to its counterweight, which spins and creates the vibration we know and love. Thanks to the springs in Dex’s neck, the vibrations are dispersed away from the handle instead of into it,

What are the benefits to a non-vibrating handle?

A non-vibrating handle can help you stay truly in the moment with no distractions. It's more comfortable to use, especially for those with dexterity or sensitivity issues in their hands.
